Institute of Applied labor was established by Government of India as an autonomous agency of the Planning Commission. The Applied Research Institute of Manpower (IAMR) is the only institute of its kind. IAMR was established by the Government of India, in 1962 and is celebrating its Golden Jubilee in 2012.
