The National Highway Authority of India was constituted by an Act of Parliament, the National Highway Authority of India, 1988. Is responsible for the development, maintenance and management of National Highways entrusted and questions related or incidental thereto. The Authority was implemented in February 1995 with the appointment of full-time Chairman and other Members.

Pay - PB-4 (Rs.37,400-67,000/-) + Grade Pay of Rs.10,000/- with Central DA
Qualification - Degree in Commerce / Accounts / Finance / Management from a recognized University or equivalent; or Member of any organized Group ‘A’ Finance / Accounts Service of the Central Government or of the State Government.
