Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore, India, one of the pioneering breeding institutes in the world was created in 1912 to evolve superior varieties of sugarcane to meet the needs of different agro-climatic zones of the country.
Higher sugar cane varieties developed by the Institute have increased the state of the nation from sugar importer to the largest sugar manufacturer in the world today. India varieties are grown and used as breeding populations in 26 other countries in the world.

Pay- Rs.11,500/- + 20% HRA for M.Sc. Degree holders & Rs.12,000/- + 20% HRA for Ph.D degree holders.
