MAU is one of the four Agril. Universities in the State of Maharashtra. Before the original of the Maharashtra Agricultural University was established on 18 May 1972 to meet regional aspirations of agricultural growth. Takes care of responsibilities for education in agriculture vide and related fields, undertake research and facilitate technology transfer in Marathwada region of Maharashtra. The first school of Agriculture was established in this region at Parbhani in 1956 by Hyderabad State Government just before State reorganization. During the Nizam's government, however, agricultural education was available only in Hyd but know Arab culture research., Sorghum, cotton, fruits exist in the region.
