Education Society of Atomic Energy was set up to provide quality education to children of employees of the Department of Atomic Energy and its constituent units. From its modest beginnings in 1969 with a school in Anushaktinagar, Mumbai, HESA has grown steadily, and currently manages 30 schools and colleges in 16 locations across the country. It has become a dynamic organization managed by 1,781 employees, of whom about 1,547 are teachers, has entrusted the responsibility for feeding 27,889 students.
