The provision for the establishment of the Public Service Commission was first incorporated under Article 96C of the
Government of India Act, 1919. Subsequently, in 1923 'Lee Commission was established to the formulation of the principles and the terms and conditions of Public Service Commission. Subsequently, as Federal recommendations "Lee Commission Public Service Commission was established in India for the first time, the October 1, 1926. Lee Commission also recommended the establishment of Provincial Public Service Commissions.
