The National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR) was established as an autonomous research and institutional development of the Department of Ocean Development (now known as Ministry of Earth Sciences, the Government of India) on May 25, 1998 .
Spread over 147,660 meters wide square area, located on a picturesque plateau, NCAOR is in most seafaring state of Goa in India.
