A. Qualifying Criteria:

(1)Age limit:

30 years for General candidates, 33 years for OBC candidates as on 31.05.2010.Relaxable for exapprentices of ONGC to the extent of their apprenticeship training in ONGC. (2) Educational/Professional
Qualifications (a) High School (Class X) with ITI in any of- Fitting/Diesel/Turner/Machining/Welding trades.
Minimum qualifying marks shall be 65% in ITI for General/OBC candidates. (b) Candidates with Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical or Production disciplines with atleast 60% marks for General/OBC candidates may also be considered.Candidates with higher qualifications than those indicated above need not apply.

B. Physical standard & Fitness requirements:

a)Physical standard:

• Height 162 cms minimum, Weight 50 kgs minimum
• Chest 79 cms at expiration 84 cm after inspiration
• Vision- 6 x 6 without glasses & without any history of night/colour blindness/squint etc.

b) Physical Fitness:

• With one arm transport 20 kg object to100 feet distance or 30 steps upstairs.
• With two arms transport 40 kg over 25 feet distance
• Climbing a vertical ladder of 100 feet
• Swing 5 kg sledge hammer-15 times (5 times overhand, 5 times underhand, 5 times side arm motions).

C. Remuneration :

A consolidated salary of Rs.16,500/- inclusive of all allowances. An annual increment of 4 % is admissible on the tenure pay (Tenure Pay for the purpose of increment will be deemed to be Rs.5000/-), subject to satisfactory performance. Additionally PF and Bonus shall also be paid as per statutory rules.
