(2) Eligibility Criteria

(i) Age: Maximum Age limit 35 years as on 30.06.2010

Relaxation available by:

(a) 5 years in upper age limit in case of SC/ST candidates

(b) 3 years in upper age limit for OBC candidates who have a certificate from the Competent authority with non-creamy layer clause.

(c) 5 years in upper age limit in case of Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned Officers/ Short Service commissioned officers) provided applicants have been released on completion of assignment (inluding those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or/on account of physical disability or have been released on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or on invalidment. Emergency commissioned officers/ Short Service Commissioned Officers who have completed their initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service but whose assignment has been extended beyond five years and in whose case the Ministry Service but whose assignment has been extended beyond five years and in whose case the Ministry of Defence issues certificates that they would be released on selection within three months from the date of receipt of offer of appointment.

(d) For PWD sub-category, relaxation of age by another 10 years in upper age limit)

(e) 5 years in upper age limit for all persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of Jammu & Kashmir State during 01.01.80 to 31.12.89. Note: An ex-servicemen who has once joined a government job on the civil side (as a civilian) after availing of the benefits given to him as an ex-servicemen for his re-employment, his ex-servicemen status for the purpose of re-employment in the Organization ceases. Candidates claiming reservation/ relaxation should produce copies of relevant certificates issued by competent authorities in support of their claim at the time of Group Discussion/ Interview.

(ii) Educational Qualifications and Experience:

(a) Graduate with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university.

(b) Candidate should have minimum five years of experience of which at least two years should be in the scale II level as an officer in Public Sector Undertaking/ Public Sector Enterprise, preferably an insurance company.
