Job Title
Assistant Manager FP&A


Job Description

• The implementation seamless month-end closing and reporting
• Generate, collate, consolidate financial and non financial and management reporting
• Understand business requirements and interpret data to provide a meaningful analysis to facilitate business decision making
• Analyze business performance and provide feedback
• Manage the planning and processes of ROP
• Manage the monthly charge-out process
• Coordinate, work closely with SPOC business area, and various equipment, such as shared services, Central Finance, Accounts Payable, Billing and accounts receivable.
• Make sure MI is provided and easily understood by senior
• Make sure load-outs are accurate and timely
• Liaise with the Group MI team as part of the production process MI
• Responding to questions from senior management / management of your case
• Identify opportunities for development and improvement and changes in unit independently
• Ensure staff development plans are in place covering the process, technical skills and soft
• Participate in all activities relating to GFO improving employee engagement
• Ensure right of first processes and / or controls in place for the production of MI
• Ensure process control instead of maintaining data integrity
• Implement processes to validate Carri seamless implementation work • month-end closing and reporting

Skills Required

  • Ability to manage the service delivery of designated processes
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills are mandatory, as are good tact and diplomacy, as the role requires relationship management with other individuals and teams within the HSBC Group
  • Global Exposure : Ability to interact with multiple cultures / multi-tasking
  • Exposure to multiple systems and database handling (TM1/Cognos/Hyperion)
  • Proficiency in MS office suite; technical bent of mind
  • Lean/Quality Orientation – Six Sigma Certified/trained proven by process improvements achieved in previous roles

Academic Qualifications
Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant)/CWA /CPA /CFA/ MBA (Finance)/ PGDBM-Finance
Years of Experience
MBA (Finance)/ PGDBM-Finance with at least 2+ years of post qualification experience or commerce graduates with at least 4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting/financial reporting, charge-outs
