- A minimum of ten years of teaching/research experience in University/College, administrative and research experience at university level including guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
- Significant achievements in the field of studies on Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
- A minimum score of 400 points in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC Regulation.
